In Trysil, you can fish in almost the entire municipality on one and the same fishing license. Children under the age of 16 fish for free. Trysil Fellesforening has selected 10 fishing lakes that are perfect for families. These fishing spots are easily accessible, some are located right by the road, whilst others include a short hike to the lake. At most of the lakes suggested here, you will find opportunities to barbecue, and a roof over your head in the form of shelters and cabins. In some places you can also rent a rowing boat.

Tørbergsjøen is one of these places. The lake is located just off highway 25, approx. 2 km northeast of Tørberget. Here there is plenty of space, a nice shelter with barbecue facilities and easy access down to the lake. Perch, pike and roach dominate here. With small lures and spinners, even the youngest have a great chance of catching fish from the side of the lake. Pack an extra change of clothes and something good to eat. There is access to firewood in several places, but we recommend bringing both firewood and kindling just in case. Swimwear can also be a good idea, as swimmers can quickly fall for the temptation to jump in the refreshing water. In addition, a mosquito repellent is smart to bring to avoid being bitten too much.
