By car
Trysil is located approximately 200 kilometeres northeast of Oslo, and is easy accessible by car. The roads are well maintained and you might see an elk on the way!
In Trysil, the vast majority of the cabins and hotels are located in ski-in-ski-out distance to the slopes, and there are regular ski buses between Skihytta, the Tourist Center, the High Mountain Center and the city center. If you have a valid ski pass, you can ride the ski bus for free.
If you are wondering where to park your car, there are different options, depending on where you stay.
By bus

Trysilekspressen
NW130 Trysilekspressen is a NOR-WAY Bussekspressen route that runs between Oslo and Trysil. Total travel time is about 3 hours. Boarding takes place at Oslo Bus Terminal and Oslo Airport Gardermoen, with several stops along the way, including in Elverum. In Trysil, the bus makes several stops, both at the Tourist Centre, Radisson Blu Resort, SkiStar Lodge, Trysil Høyfjellssenter and at Trysil Skysstasjon during the winter season.

Inland traffic
Runs six daily routes from Elverum to Trysil.

Scandinavian Mountains Airport is only 40 minutes. from Trysil. The airport is located on the Swedish side, midway between Trysil and Sälen.

Oslo Airport Gardermoen
Fly to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, then pick up a rental car from there or take the bus on to Trysil. It is only 160 kilometers from Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Trysil.
From Oslo Airport Gardermoen there are good bus connections to Trysil. Trysilekspressen has several departures daily, and the bus journey takes just under three hours.
By boat
Boat from Denmark and Germany
The ferry companies Stena Line, Color Line and DFDS Seaways all have daily departures to Norway.
Stena Line has departures from Frederikshavn to Oslo. Color Line sails from Kiel to Oslo. In addition, Stena Line sails to Gothenburg and Color Line from Hirtshals to Larvik.
DFDS Seaways has a daily connection between Copenhagen and Oslo.
Arrival in Oslo is in the middle of the city, it is well signposted out of the city. The last bit to Trysil is quick and easy by car or bus.
