We are happy to share our beautiful nature, and hope that all our visitors will tread carefully and leave as little trace as possible. Here are some guidelines for how to best explore nature in a sustainable matter.

The right to roam gives us the opportunity to experience and use the surrounding nature. It is still important to pay attention and follow the guidelines when roaming outside:
- Follow the path and avoid new paths being established
- You can only cycle on trails, not out in the field and not in national parks
- Do not throw waste in nature, and remember to clean up after yourself
- Protect wildlife, keep your distance and stay calm when meeting animals and birds
- Remember to keep dogs on a leash from 1st April to 20th August
- You cannot light a fire between 15th April and 15th September, except at established fire pits
- You can pick berries, mushrooms and plants for your own use
- You can fish once you have bought a fishing license
Share the path
Trysil is Norway's largest trail biking destination, but there are very many of our visitors who also use our trails for hiking. We encourage everyone, cyclists and hikers, to respect each other and share the trail.
Elk and bird hunting
A lot of grouse and other birds are hunted in Trysil. We are also one of Norway's largest elk municipalities. The bird hunt starts on September 10th and the elk hunt runs from September 25th and throughout the autumn. That means there is hunting going on in large parts of the municipality. We encourage all hikers to wear clothing with bright colors and follow the trails that are marked. Have a good trip.
Fishing
For fishing in Trysil Fellesforening's area, a valid fishing license is required. People under the age of 16 fish for free.
