Trout, grayling, char and perch are fish that await you in one of our rivers, lakes and ponds. Along the Trysil River, you will find several nice fishing spots, and they are marked on the fishing map and along the road.

In our 10 recommended fishing lakes, you will find places that are adapted for the whole family, and at many of the lakes there is a shelter, barbecue area and boat. At Trysil Hyttegrend you can rent a canoe, and you can also try your luck at fishing from nice parts of the Trysilelva river. 

Fishing guide

The fishing experience may even better with a local guide, who can show you the best spots, and who has knowledge of fishing in the various watercourses. Chris Hendriks is a fishing guide in Trysil who specializes in fly fishing and especially in the technique tenkara. 

Fishing license 

You can easily buy a fishing license at inatur.no or at selected places in the municipality. One fishing license covers almost all lakes and watercourses in Trysil municipality! On this licence, you can fish in both the Trysil and Ljøra river system, a total of more than 120 rivers and lakes. At Sport 1 you can buy everything you need in terms of fishing equipment, and here you can also get good tips for nice places to fish. 

Fishing Charts and Fishing Rules

The fishing map gives you a complete overview of the fishing areas in Trysil, as well as the types of fish you can catch in the various river systems. For fishing in Trysil Fellesforening's area, it is required that a valid fishing license is brought during the fishing. Please note that people under the age of 16 fish for free.
