Ole G-vegen is usually the answer to questions we get about cross-country skiing. The trip starts at Trysilfjellet Arena, and is a perfect starting point for both beginners and experienced cross-country skiers. 5 kilometers of gently undulating terrain is a good start, regardless of level. If this is enough for you, you can take the same way back at any time. If you are up for more challenging trails, you get a good climb further towards Håvi and Skihytta. From here, the possibilities are many, and one of the nicest routes is Sørrunden and back down to Trysilfjellet Arena. Ole G-vegen is of course prepared with both classic and skating tracks.

Sørrunden – the perfect round for the whole family

Sørrunden is a great and family-friendly route of about 4 kilometers. You can park at Håvi, the trail starts on the other side of Vestbyvegen. The round can be combined with longer trips, such as trail 15 that goes past Brunehøgda, and continues on trail 1 back to Håvi. This round is about 13 kilometers long. From Håvi Solsiden in the direction of Grønskaret, you can write your name in the tour book (6.9 km round trip). From here you can walk on to Grønskaret, Vestbyvegen or Brunehøgda.

Skihytta-Grønskaret – easy trail with good resting spots

From Skihytta to Grønskaret there are 3.2 kilometers of prepared classic and skating trails. This trip is one of the best family trips! It is not too long, and has a slightly undulating terrain and good opportunities for a rest with Kvikklunsj and hot chocolate along the way. At Grønskaret there is both a cabin and an outdoor toilet.

Fageråskjølen – the new favourite

A new and family-friendly route has been prepared in Fageråsen, more specifically around Fageråskjølen. The route, which is about 3.5 kilometers, is mostly in slightly undulating terrain. Parking in the upper cabin area in Fageråsen (R-area), or at the parking lot at Jensvoll. Fageråskjølen is part of trail no. 7, where you can walk all the way to the serviced cabin Svesætra. This is a longer trip of about 2 miles, and if you want to continue, you can continue to Slettås.

Skurufjellrunden – the classic with the view

Skurufjellrunden (trail 6) in Fageråsen is and will remain a favorite. Start from the parking lot at the top of Fageråsen. The route, which is 5.5 kilometers, offers fantastic views. If you are inexperienced at cross-country skiing, or have brought small children with you, it is nice to walk towards Paradisbukta or in the direction of Skihytta, where the terrain is gentler.

Ås – the complete tour

Ås is located on the east side of the river. To get here, drive up Korsbergsvegen from the city center, and turn right on Bergevegen. From the parking lot at Ås, it is possible to walk to Skorkoia, where you can buy coffee, fresh waffles, hot choolate and cold drinks. To get to Skorkoia from Ås, you can choose two roads, one road is 8.2 kilometers and the other is 4.1 kilometers. The entire route is a total of 12.3 kilometers long. Many people choose to walk the short trail round trip, because then the climb is done on the way there and the return is a breeze!

The full overview can be found on the cross-country map, which you can also get at all our receptions and information stations. We wish you a good trip, and don't forget to pack your quick lunch and hot chocolate.
