The Concept:
The pole hunt involves finding poles placed around the municipality. There are pole hunts in many municipalities nationwide. Poles can be registered manually, digitally, or by downloading a mobile application to scan the QR codes that each pole is equipped with. The pole hunt aims to activate both young and old, including the inactive, school students, cyclists, people with disabilities, and wheelchair users—or anyone who simply wants to get acquainted with the area.
The pole hunt is intended to contribute to increased physical activity among people across the country.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
Find poles
The first thing you need to participate in the pole hunt is a map marking the pole locations. The map exists in two versions: a physical map folder or electronically integrated in the app. The Stolpejakten app can be downloaded for free from Google Play or the App Store. Once the map is in place, juest head out to find the poles. There are many poles to discover, spread across four different levels of difficulty*, can you find them all?
*The poles have the following levels of difficulty:
• GREEN – very easy, can be reached by bike and wheelchair
• BLUE – simple
• RED – medium
• BLACK – difficult
Register
You choose how many poles you find. Regardless, it’s fun to keep track of your progress! This can be done by registering the poles either electronically with the app or via our web portal, or manually by filling them in directly on the map. To register electronically, you need an account, which you can create here, and it will always be free!
How Does the Registration Work?
Each pole has a code and a QR code. For manual registration, the code is noted directly on the map, which is then submitted. For electronic registration, either use the Stolpejakten app to scan the QR codes of the poles or enter the code into your account on this page (to do this, log in from the menu on the right). It’s that simple!
