Experiencing the incredible colors of the Northern Lights moving across the sky is on many people's wish lists, and few places on earth offer more ways to witness the Northern Lights than Norway.
Between December and March, Trysil is dark from early afternoon until late in the morning, and the Northern Lights often float across the sky. The lights, which are also called aurora borealis, appear at night when the sky is dark. It's like a celestial ballet with light dancing across the night sky, with a color palette of green, blue, pink, and violet.
Facts about The Northern Lights
At a very basic level, the phenomenon is quite simple to explain. It is created by a collision of electrically charged particles from the sun entering the Earth's atmosphere. The Northern Lights, the Aurora borealis, have their peak when the weather is cold and dry.
We can go on foot or use snowshoes from the starting point. A normal trip takes around 1 hour.

We therefore ask you to take into account any changes from the itinerary. If we are unable to provide a certain service due to an unforeseen situation, you will be offered a similar service.
Outdoor activities are also weather dependent. If we are forced to cancel an activity due to extreme weather conditions, an alternative activity suitable for the current conditions will be provided. Please note that changes may occur at short notice.
