How to survive in the wilderness

Join us for an exciting and fun day in nature, where you will learn and test basic knowledge in survival skills.

This day will give you better insight and confidence to make the best choices in different situations. You need to be in normal health, and we recommend an age limit from 12 years. The trip is well suited for families with older children. No prior knowledge is required – just a desire to become friends with the wilderness!

Summer/Winter Program

Wilderness survival skills are all about surviving in the wilderness. We will spend a lot of time on exciting topics such as:

  • Bonfires: How to light a fire and find suitable fire materials regardless of the season

  • Navigation: Navigating the wilderness – with and without a compass

  • Cooking: How to cook on a fire

  • Tracking: Tracking animals and humans

  • Hunting and fishing: Making snare, fishing and hunting with simple tools

  • Accommodation: Make suitable accommodation (gapahuk)

  • Natural Resources: Finding Water and Food in the Wilderness

  • Safety with tools: Handle knives, axes and saws safely

After the trip, there will be a small evaluation with advice and tips on how to develop your skills further.
