1. Dog sledding
There are several dog sledding tours to choose from. Family tour, one hour tour or two hours, half day tour, night tour, day tour. You will definitely find something that fits!
You can drive the sled yourself, and you can be the passenger. Either way, in front of you run top fit and top motivated dogs.
Aktiv Fritid Trysil offers dog sledding in the forest terrain. Mountain Kings Sledehundkennel is located in the mountain area.
2. Snowshoeing
You can try and learn snowshoeing in Trysil. Every Saturday and Sunday Snowbound Snowshoe Activities offers guided trips in the area around Trysilfjellet or in Tørberget. 3. Sleigh ride
Join Trysil Hestesenter on a sleigh ride! In a horse-drawn sleigh you enter the deep forests of Nesvollberget, a little place in the eastern parts of Trysil. You sit nice and warm in the sleigh, and just enjoy the fairy tale surroundings. Stop-off at a lavvo (traditional Sami tent).
Trysil Hesteskyss offers small trips in the area in Trysil Høyfjellssenter every Tuesday and Saturday. No need for pre-registration. Just stop by with 30 NOKs in your pocket.
Both trips are extremely family friendly!
4. Starhunting
On nice and clear days, the stars shine bright down at us. We look up and admire the sparkling stars. But what do we actually know about this fantastic sight?
Experience Stargazing in Trysil. A nice activity for the entire family.
We provide guests with an opportunity to see the sky as never seen before, using special binoculars. You may even catch a glimpse of the northern lights.
5. Ice-skating
Do you have a pair of ice skates at home? Bring them along to Trysil. There is an outdoor ice-skating rink in the centre of Trysil. With floodlit in the evenings. Children love it here. The use is for free.
