The Brunnsdalen road, the last 4 km to the summer parking lot, has no snow-plowing service, and the tour starts down by the main road. It is a small parking lot there. Most use skies, some snowshoes. There are no ski-tracks and no winter signs.
No one uses the marked summer path in the winter, but turn right when they reach the highest point of the road. A tip of advice is to study the map before you start. The best way to the summit is to cross the bridge on the path to Kvitstenbu. Pass the cabin ca 100 meters north from it.
Eventually you reach open terrain that leads you to the point where you can see the summit Skagsvola south.
