Good opening hours create stress-free shopping
The good opening hours make shopping in the center of Trysil a breeze. Several grocery stores are open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays, and are also open on Sundays. Perfect for those who are either early or a little late with their planning. Most shops in the city centre are open between 10 am and 5 pm on weekdays.
Shopping and art experiences in the city center
In the center of Trysil you will find several small, cozy shops with good service. Here you will find the latest in fashion, interior design and art. Vinmonopol and Coop Mega with a wide selection and access to fresh produce can also be found here!
We have several exciting galleries in the center of Trysil. Studio Storm is a creative studio that offers studio communities, courses and showrooms. The studio has limited opening hours, so we recommend contacting the studio before planning a visit. Here you can also buy interiors such as vases, cups, bowls and sculptures.
Close by you will find Husfliden and Handverksbutikken which has a wide selection of yarn. They also have several great gift items, and are also a retailer of the Trysilbunaden. Ørbæk Design is an interior design store located in the middle of Trysil city center. They have an exciting selection of recycled goods and furniture as well as self-produced products made from recycled materials. Here we are talking about sustainability at a high level!
Sentrum Sport, which is located in Trysilsenteret, has a large selection of outdoor and sports equipment. With a high level of professional competence among the employees, you get exactly the help you need. The same can be said about Trysil Outlet, a super nice store with super nice prices on sports and leisure clothes and shoes for both adults and children. If you are looking for a new TV or stereo, ELON Trysil Elektroservice is easily accessible right in the city center. The store has a wide selection of electrical items for home and cottage.

The ice rink is open to everyone
In the center of Trysil, right behind Trysil Outlet, is our beautiful ice rink. The course is open to absolutely everyone, and there are floodlights right up until ten o'clock in the evening. Remember to bring your own skates!
Enjoy a walk along the flood embankment
Today, the flood embankment is more than just an embankment to keep the flood out – it is also a popular place to go for a walk, and at the same time enjoy the view of the mountains and the river. You can walk along Flomvollen from Trysilsenteret to Kiwi in the far south of the city centre.

Kulturhuset Hagelund is a multipurpose house, and several cultural productions are arranged here, such as concerts, theatre, cinema and more. There is entertainment for everyone!
Wonderful dining experiences in the city center
If you get hungry or thirsty, or just want to relax with a hot cocoa, there are several options in the center of Trysil. Did you know that we have our own microbrewery in Trysil? We recommend trying our local beer at the restaurant Parken Bistro & Bar. Then you are sitting very close to the source, i.e. where the beer is produced and bottled at Trysil Brewery!
Also check out Glunot, a gluten-free bakery run by Italian Chef Dino that has won awards for its gluten-free products. This is not a bakery just for gluten allergy sufferers - there is something for everyone here! In addition, Glunot sells delicious Italian specialties such as olive oils, pasta, cheeses, and more.
In the same area, in Løkjavegen, you can relax with a good cup of coffee, a hot cocoa or a delicious piece of cake. Fru Skjæraasen has a great selection of pastries and drinks, as well as interiors!
Day trip to the Day Trip Cabin
Why not take a trip to the day trip cabin in Grimsåsen? There is a large network of trails in the area, and the cabin is strategically located as an excellent starting point for several trail hikes in slightly steeper terrain. Here there are of course opportunities for barbecue and coziness! There is also an outdoor toilet available at the cabin.
Get in shape at a gym
Trysil city centre boasts several fitness centres. Put on your workout clothes and stop by Spenst or Trysil Health & Fitness!
The bog sand
Mosanden is only a short drive from the center of Trysil, and here you will find several great shops to shop in! Atmosphere is one of the newest stores in this area, and here you can buy various high-quality interior items, furniture and textiles. Please note that Atmosphere will move to the second floor at Gausdal on 1 February 2025.
A stone's throw away you will find Maxbo. If the cabin or home needs a little maintenance or a little renovation, this is the place to go to buy materials and inventory. At Mosanden is also Trysil Vask og Rens, they have competitive prices for cleaning everything from tablecloths to ski jackets.
Other tips in Trysil city center
1. The library – vacation time is reading time. Young people really appreciate a reading session at the library, and here you can also borrow audiobooks and films. Books you borrow here can be returned to your own local library - it doesn't get any easier!
2. Trysilelva camping – Here you can take a refreshing bath in the Trysil river and get warm again in the sauna along the river's edge. The sauna is portable and can be rented out for groups and events.
3. Floriss Trysil Flower Shop – Decorate the table with flowers from Floriss! Here you will also find gift items and interiors.
4. Alpaca hike at Kilde Farm
Well cumin for the village, as we say in Trysil!
