In winter, you will find three restaurants in each of their old log houses at Knettsetra. Here you will find, among other things, great lunch dishes, waffles and afterski. Here you'll find a good atmosphere and interesting flavors - in the middle of the mountains!

The waffles are special waffles for Knettsetra. You may have seen products from Galåvolden farm? Cheese, ice cream and eggs. To name a few. Together with Galåvolden farm, we have developed the waffle batter from which we fry our good waffles. Real ingredients from the farm in Røros.

Winter at Knettsetra
There is no road to Knettsetra in winter. Then you have to use skis.
From the Tourist Centre: One of the lifts Sindretrekket, Fjellekspressen or Knetta.
From Fageråsen: Via Toppekspressen, Kanken, or Høgegga.
On cross-country skis, you can easily get to Knettsetra both from the Tourist Center, Skihytta and Fageråsen.
Large terrace
There are 350 square meters of terrace around Knettsetra and Stallen, with a parasol roof and heating underneath.
You can buy both food and drinks from two outdoor bars.
Wedding at Knettsetra
Old mountain pasture, romance, idyll, horse-drawn carriage, wedding ceremony outdoors, in the middle of Trysilfjellet. These are key words for a wedding celebration at Knettsetra. We organize your dream wedding together with you: Wedding cake, hairdresser, flowers, decoration of the premises, transport and food. Say what you want and we will do what we can to fulfill your wishes.
Summer at Knettsetra
In the summer, there is an open road all the way to the farm, with access from the county road just opposite Trysil Turistsenter on the south side of Trysilfjellet. It is also nice to both cycle and walk to the farm. From Trysil Tourist Center it is a pleasant walk of about three km each way. It is uphill to the farm, and you pass a nice viewpoint. The trip back down is easy along the same route as you went up.
Knettsetra is an idyllic gem in the middle of Trysilfjellet. There is a separate area with play equipment next to the yard and the Magic Moose flow path passes by the farm.
